Insonic Studios is a recording studio and rehearsal room complex located off Brant Road in Lincoln. Run by experienced, professional musicians, producers and studio engineers we understand the needs of the bands, musicians and singers that use our studios.

Our state of the art equipment, purpose-built live and control rooms, along with our fully soundproofed and acoustically treated rehearsal rooms, are complemented by the additional services we offer including:

Recording Facilities

Our live rooms and control rooms have been acoustically designed to ensure that we achieve accurate recordings. Each room has been designed specifically for the task in hand so what comes out of the instrument is what is recorded and not coloured by the room.

Our control room is based around a Mac Pro using Pro Tools 10 & 11 and Logic. We use high resolution Universal Audio AD/DA conversion and preamps, giving crystal clear and transparent recordings.

A wide range of microphones are available from the likes of Sure, SE, Audio Technica, Rode and AKG. The stock is always being added to.

Every recording project is different, so at Insonic Studios we tailor every session to the individual artist’s needs and requirements.

Rehearsal

Insonic Studios Lincoln offers competitively priced rehearsal rooms available 7 days a week.

Each rehearsal room has been acoustically treated and soundproofed, which means you can actually hear what you are playing whilst rehearsing. A PA, drum kit and mics are included as standard, with a range of other equipment available for hire.

Prices

  • £9 per hour includes – drums, PA and microphones
  • £10 per hour includes – drums PA, microphones, 1 x additional item (such as guitar/bass cabs)
  • £11 per hour includes – drums, PA, microphones, 2 x additional items
  • £12 per hour all in, you will never pay more than this price, this includes – drums, PA, microphones, plus as many additional items as required

Drum Practice Special

Are you a drummer, but have nowhere to practice? Why not utilise the facilities here at Insonic Studios. We have a top of the range Roland TD20 available for practicing on. This will allow you to play along to any song you want to learn and will keep you focused. Our drum tutor will always be on hand for any advice.

Price just £7 per hour including TD20

Tuition

We offer tuition in drums, bass, guitar piano/keyboard, vocals and music theory. Our friendly tutors have years of experience teaching a variety of ages and abilities. Parents can also take advantage of our ample parking and lounge room where refreshments are available.

Prices

All our instrument and vocal lessons are competitively priced at £20 per hour.

Short Courses

Audio Technology

Ever wanted to know what goes on, on the other side of the glass? Want to learn audio technology but haven’t got the time to enrol on a full time course. Why not try one of our short courses?

Taking you step by step through audio technology principles you will learn about the recording process, microphone choice and techniques, editing mixing and mastering using industry standard DAWs. Sessions run by the hour, half or full days.

Live Sound

If you have your own PA or are thinking of getting one and you are not sure of how to use it to get the best results, our live sound engineer can help. Having years of experience of live sound you will be taught how to achieve a great live sound and trouble shoot any problems that could occur, quickly and efficiently.

Music business

Our music business short course gives you the skill to understand how the music business works. This includes the importance of contracts, PRS and copyright. It will also guide you through the process of how to promote and market yourself.

All our short courses are by the hour, half day and full day. We run both one to one and group sessions.

  • £300 Full day (8 Hours)

Other Services

Online Mixing and Mastering

Our online mixing and mastering service uses the same industry standard, high resolution AD/DA converters and plug-ins as the main studio. If you have already tracked your songs but need them to be mixed, you are not happy with the current mix or if you need them mastering after mix, then we can help.

Prices

  • Mixing £50 per song.
  • Mastering £25 per song.

PA Hire

Insonic Studios can accommodate any type of PA hire required, from small vocal only PA's, to full festival rigs.

Our engineers have gained extensive experience in all situations over the past decade.  

Equipment Hire

From drums to amps to full backline, we offer very reasonably priced equipment hire as well as transport.

Shop

Here at Insonic Studios we have a fully stocked shop selling music accessories. We sell, amongst other things, guitar strings, drum skins, drum sticks, guitar straps, plectrums, as well as snacks and hot and cold drinks.

We are open most evenings and weekends meaning that you don’t need to wait to get what you desperately need!

Photography

We work closely with specialist band and music photographer, Edward Langley from Pixelglo photography. He has vast expertise and an impressive portfolio.

We can accommodate both location and non-location shoots. You can also take advantage of our facility and have photos taken when you are rehearsing or recording.

Band Merchandise

Whether it’s t-shirts, flyers, posters or any other promotional items we offer good quality merchandise at competitive prices.

Instrument repair and set up

Our trained luthiers can help with all aspects of guitar set up and repair from re-stringing, mods, rewiring, fret dressing, truss rod and action setups.

We also offer amp repairs and have a vast selection of guitar valves available. 

PAT Testing

We can recommend the company we trust with our equipment. Experienced PAT testers, they can come to you, or you can drop items at the studio, whichever is most convenient.

Unlike some PAT testers, in most cases there is no minimum charge. Prices start from £1 per item
